This volume describes practical techniques for analyzing precipitation, snowmelt, infiltration, and runoff processes as they relate to the computation of flood hydrographs. Topics discussed include: Estimation of the areal depth and distribution of precipitation; Calculation of runoff from snowmelt; Determination of loss rates by linear and nonlinear functions; unit hydrograph theory and derivation; hydrograph reconstitution; and the Estimation of unit hydrograph and loss rate coefficients for ungaged areas.
