520 |a The intent of Molecular Cardiology for the Cardiologist is to provide a short, easily readable summary of what the new biology brings to cardiology. With this respect, special efforts were made to multiply comprehensive schemes and drawings, as well as teaching tables. The book has been divided into 5 parts. The first part is a general introduction to the new "language" of biology. The second part is the most important and devoted to the normal structure of the heart and vessels. The third and fourth parts deal with physiopathology and the last section will define the new therapeutic avenues which have been opened by new biology. It is hoped that this book will summarize, in the most concise way possible, the keys that will assist the cardiologist or student who want to learn and read more about this field and to provide practical examples to illustrate the clinical interest of such a new approach.
